Patricia Killelea is an Associate Professor of English at Northern Michigan University. Her work bridges poetry and visual media, with poetry films showcased at international festivals including Det Poetiske Fonoteque, Ó'Béal, and FOTOGENIA. She is the author of the poetry collection *Counterglow* (Urban Farmhouse Press, 2019) and contributes to journals like *FENCE*, *Passages North*, and *Moving Poems*. Her academic roles include Poetry Editor at *FENCE* and former Poetry Editor at *Passages North* (2015–2022).
Research interests focus on poetry film, videopoetry craft, and interdisciplinary literary expression. Her creative work explores themes of place, identity, and environmental consciousness through multimodal storytelling.
Awards include recognition from festivals such as the Midwest Video Poetry Fest (Honorable Mention) and Frame to Frames Ekphrastic Poetry Film Prize (Finalist). She actively engages in literary curation and digital humanities, merging traditional poetry with emerging media forms.
