Patricia Garcia Muñoz

Patricia Garcia Muñoz is an Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, affiliated with the Department of Industrial and Environmental Chemical Engineering and the research groups Polymers, Characterization and Applications and Environmental Technologies and Industrial Resources. She holds a double degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of the West of Scotland (2011) and the University of Extremadura (2012), an MSc in Industrial Process Engineering from the Complutense University of Madrid (2013), and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2017).

Her research focuses on catalytic materials, NMR characterization techniques, and photocatalytic processes, with a strong emphasis on environmental and industrial applications. She has extensive international experience, including a doctoral stay at the University of California, Santa Barbara (2015-2017) and a postdoctoral position at the University of Strasbourg/CNRS (2017-2019). Her work spans waste management, process chemistry, and pollution control.

Patricia has received multiple awards, including the First National Prize in Engineering (MECD, 2015). She has participated in educational programs, supervised 8 undergraduate and master's projects, and contributed to 32 JCR journal articles, 2 patents (national and international), and 3 book chapters. She was accredited as a Contract Professor with a Doctorate in 2022 and will assume the role of Deputy Director at the ETS of Industrial Engineers in 2025.
