Dr. Patricia Faison Hewlin is an Associate Professor at McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management and serves as McGill’s Ombudsperson for Students. She holds a PhD in Management and Organizational Behavior from NYU Stern, an MBA in Finance, and a BA in English and Spanish from Binghamton University. Her research focuses on authenticity in the workplace, diversity climates, identity management, and leadership development. She has explored concepts like 'facades of conformity' and their impact on employee well-being, as well as topics such as callings in the workplace and mental illness disclosure. Dr. Hewlin has held academic leadership roles including Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs and has published extensively in journals like Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Applied Psychology.
