Patricia Buján Otero

Patricia Buján Otero is an Associate Professor at the University of Vigo's Department of Translation and Linguistics, Faculty of Philology and Translation. She specializes in German-to-Galician/Spanish translation, eco-edition, and translation editorial policies.

Her research focuses on literary translation, phraseology, and gender representation in translation policies. She has contributed to major projects like the 35,000-entry Idiomatik Deutsch-Spanisch (2013) and leads the BiFeGa research group.

Recent publications emphasize German literary translation, eco-edition, and phraseological analysis. She secured the European Union's Creative Europe grant (2025) for a literary translation project with Literarisches Colloquium Berlin.
