Patricia A. Coughlan is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Rowan University's Ric Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts. She has taught at Rowan since Fall 2002, bringing over 30 years of experience in public education focusing on communicative arts and gifted learners.
Her academic background includes a Master of Arts from the University of Connecticut. Research and teaching interests span technical speaking, anxiety management in public speaking, film adaptation analysis, learner diversity considerations, and rhetorical studies of cognitive processes. She serves as an educational consultant and motivational speaker, delivering Rowan's prestigious 'Last Lecture' in 2012 as selected by students.
