Patrice Pottier is a Postdoctoral researcher at The Australian National University (ANU), supervised by Daniel Noble, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney), working under Losia Lagisz and Shinichi Nakagawa. His research focuses on animal responses to rapid environmental change, particularly the plasticity and resilience of ectotherms to global warming. He employs meta-analysis, data synthesis, and laboratory experiments across diverse species. Pottier advocates for Open Science and serves on the board of directors for SORTEE (Society for Open, Reproducible, and Transparent Ecology and Evolutionary Biology).
Education includes a PhD from UNSW Sydney (advisor Shinichi Nakagawa), MSc and BSc from the University of Tours (France), and prior research experience at the University of Alabama. His work spans endocrine-disrupting chemical impacts on fish behavior and conflict resolution in parasitoid wasps.
