Dr. Janith Adikaram is a Senior Research Fellow at the ANU School of Engineering within the College of Engineering and Computer Science. He earned his Ph.D. in plasma physics from Queensland University of Technology in 2022, with additional research training at Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) and the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (Sri Lanka).
His research focuses on plasma nanoscience, advanced materials for aerospace applications, and solar energy technologies. Current projects include lunar dust mitigation coatings and corrosion-resistant materials for satellite components.
Dr. Adikaram has received multiple scientific awards including:
- NSW Space Research Network Pilot Grant (2022)
- ANU Seed Funding for space materials research (2022)
- National Research Council of Sri Lanka Merit Award (2021)
- Vellore Institute of Technology Young Researcher Award (2020)
