Juan Felipe Torres

Dr. Juan Felipe Torres is a Senior Lecturer and course convener for Aerodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Heat Transfer at the School of Engineering, ANU. His research focuses on sustainable heat and fluid flow phenomena with applications in environmental, energy, and aerospace engineering. Key contributions include hierarchical solar absorber coatings and the development of thermodiffusive desalination. He holds dual doctoral degrees from Tohoku University (Japan) and École Centrale de Lyon (France), with 12 years of experience in Japan, including a JSPS Fellowship and industry work at Toshiba Corporation.
