Pat Monaghan holds the Regius Chair of Zoology at the University of Glasgow, affiliated with the Institute of Biodiversity, Animal Health and Comparative Medicine. His academic career spans over two decades at the University of Glasgow, transitioning from Professor of Animal Ecology to his current chair.
Research interests focus on:
- Life-history strategies and the impact of early-life conditions on organisms.
- Resource allocation trade-offs across short- and long-term ecological and evolutionary timescales.
- Behavioural and population ecology, particularly how individuals adapt to dynamic environmental conditions.
