Pat Loughlin is a Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh, specializing in signal processing and its biomedical applications. He joined the university in 1993 and has contributed to advancements in nonstationary signal processing, human postural control analysis, and anesthetic delivery systems. His work includes two US patents related to anesthetic uptake modeling.

- B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, Boston University (1985)
Research Interests:
- Development of time-frequency distribution methods for signal analysis
- Integration of sensorimotor systems and vibrotactile feedback mechanisms
- Control systems for medical devices, including inhalation anesthetics
