Dr. Parisa Noorian is a Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Australian Institute for Microbiology & Infection (AIMI) within the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Her research focuses on developing diagnostic tools and preventive measures for catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs), including management of multi-site studies and biofilm model development.
- Education:
- PhD in Microbiology from UNSW Australia (2018–2020)
- MPhil in Microbiology from UNSW Australia (2012–2014)
Her work combines clinical observation studies with experimental models to address CAUTIs in spinal cord injury populations. She is currently overseeing the Wintermute project on mixed biofilm treatments (2024–2025). Dr. Noorian is available to supervise Masters and PhD students in microbiology-related fields.
