Pardis Dabashi is an Assistant Professor of Literatures in English and Film Studies at Bryn Mawr College. She is the author of the award-winning book Losing the Plot: Film and Feeling in the Modern Novel (2023), which explores intersections between narrative form and cinematic influence in modernist texts. Her research engages with modernist authors like Djuna Barnes, as evidenced by her analysis of Barnes’ 1935 correspondence with Emily Coleman.
