Pankhuri Malhotra is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Michael F. Price College of Business, University of Oklahoma (since 2021). She holds a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Illinois at Chicago (2020), an MSc in Business Analytics from the University of Manchester (2015), and a BSc in Physics Honors from Miranda House (2013). Prior to this, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher in Quantitative Marketing at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management (2021).
Her research focuses on computational social science, leveraging graph-based methods and network analysis to enhance marketing strategies. Key areas include social network structures, brand alliance identification via social media data, and influencer marketing dynamics. She explores user perception of brands through publicly available social media datasets and develops network-based recommender systems.
Her work spans disciplines such as marketing, data science, and econometrics, with publications in outlets like the Journal of Marketing, Harvard Business Review, and AAAI. Recent trends in her articles emphasize leveraging social media network structures to predict engagement, optimize brand partnerships, and understand content curation strategies.
