Dr. Pan Mohamad Faiz is an Indonesian legal scholar specializing in constitutional law. He serves as a Senior Researcher at the Constitutional Court of Indonesia and is an External Research Fellow at the TC Beirne School of Law, University of Queensland (Australia). He teaches constitutional law at the University of Indonesia and other institutions. His academic background includes a PhD from the University of Queensland, a Master of Comparative Law from the University of Delhi, and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Indonesia.
Dr. Faiz's research focuses on constitutional law, comparative constitutional frameworks, and human rights protection. His work explores topics such as minority rights, economic/social rights, judicial review systems, and political party dissolution. Notable contributions include analyses of Indonesia’s constitutional court role in safeguarding rights and addressing legal dualism.
He has been awarded the Australian Awards Scholarship and ICCR Scholarship. His professional activities include roles at the Association of Constitutional Law Lecturers (APHTN-HAN) and the Indonesian Law Scholars Association (ISHI). He has also received recognition through participation in the U.S. State Department’s IVLP program on Judicial Reform and training in court governance in The Netherlands and Singapore.
