Dr. Pamela M. Hall is Associate Professor in the Department of Religion at Emory University and Coordinator of the Honors Program. Her research examines the nature of selfhood through interdisciplinary lenses of philosophy, theology, and literature, with particular focus on virtue ethics and narrative's role in moral life.
Her scholarly work explores:
- Dynamic conceptions of selfhood and virtue
- Ethical frameworks in literary texts
- Interconnections between moral psychology and theology
- Saintly life as ethical paradigm
Dr. Hall has received multiple teaching awards including the Emory Williams Award and Massee-Martin/NEH Chair. She teaches undergraduate courses in Ethics and previously chaired the Department of Women’s Studies.
