Pamela Lutsey, PhD, MPH, is a Professor in the Division of Epidemiology & Community Health at the University of Minnesota. Her research focuses on identifying modifiable factors that influence cardiovascular disease (CVD) and chronic condition risks, with a particular emphasis on nutritional biomarkers, sleep disorders, venous thromboembolism, and dementia risk factors.

Her work leverages long-term studies like the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) Study and the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis (MESA), as well as administrative data sources such as MarketScan, Medicare, and M Health Fairview electronic health records, to evaluate the impact of GLP-1 medications on CVD risk and compare treatment strategies for venous thromboembolism and atrial fibrillation.
