Dr. Pam Lockwood-Cooke is an Associate Dean of the College of Engineering and Professor of Mathematics at West Texas A&M University. She holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in applied mathematics from Texas Tech University (1992–1998). Her roles include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics, advising mathematics majors, and serving as graduate adviser for the mathematics program.
She leads the NSF-funded INCRSE program, aiming to enhance STEM education through interdisciplinary projects, laboratory redesigns, and career exposure. Her research focuses on biomathematics, including predator-prey models impacted by inbreeding and biomechanical modeling of human movement using neural innervation analysis via Particle Swarm Optimization.
Dr. Lockwood advises the WTAMU Gamma Beta Phi honor society and collaborates with research groups like the Human-Machine Teaming Laboratory. Her work bridges applied mathematics, engineering, and biology, emphasizing STEM diversity and educational innovation.
