Paige Donaghy

Paige Donaghy is a Research Fellow affiliated with the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry at the University of Queensland, Australia, and a Visiting Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (MPIWG) in Berlin.

Her research specializes in the intellectual and cultural history of reproduction, sexuality, and medicine in early modern Europe. Key themes include uncertainty in knowledge-making about generation, the role of pregnancy loss in medical narratives, and the discourse on formless births in natural philosophy.

Donaghy has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the runner-up for the 2019 Charles Schmitt Prize, the 2021 Patricia Crawford Prize, and the 2022 Berlin Residency Award from the University of Queensland. Her publications address topics such as
