Fabio Dominik De Gregorio

Fabio Dominik De Gregorio is a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (MPIWG) in Berlin and a doctoral student at Technische Universität Berlin since 2021, funded by a Heinrich Böll Foundation scholarship. He earned a magister theologiae from the Protestant Church in Germany and a Master’s degree in Protestant Theology from Humboldt Universität zu Berlin in 2019, with prior studies in theology, philosophy, and cultural studies in Marburg and Berlin.

His research focuses on the medieval Latin-into-Hebrew transmission of Albert the Great’s natural science, examining cross-cultural European knowledge-making. He is affiliated with the Research Group 'Experience in the Premodern Sciences of Soul and Body ca. 800–1650' at MPIWG, which aligns with his interest in premodern scientific traditions and interfaith intellectual exchange.

His academic work intersects with disciplines such as the history of science, philosophy, and cultural studies. He previously worked at the Department of New Testament at Philipps-Universität Marburg and the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, and he participated in an interdisciplinary colloquium on Albert the Great in 2023.
