Pablo Villanueva-Perez is a Research Fellow at the Division of Synchrotron Radiation Research within the Physics Department at Lund University. He is also a member of the New Materials Working Group and contributes to Functional Magnetic Materials research under the LINXS network.
- PhD in Theoretical High Energy Physics from University of Valencia
- Postdoctoral experience at Paul Scherrer Institut (Switzerland) and DESY (Germany)
His research focuses on X-ray imaging technologies, particularly leveraging Free-Electron Lasers (XFELs) and synchrotron radiation. After transitioning from theoretical high energy physics, he developed expertise in experimental and computational X-ray tomography at the TOMCAT group (Paul Scherrer Institut) and advanced his work with X-ray free-electron lasers at DESY's Center for Free-Electron Laser Science.
Currently, he contributes to cutting-edge photon science applications in quantum materials and advanced imaging. His career trajectory reflects a strong interdisciplinary focus, connecting fundamental physics with applied imaging methodologies.
