Kristoffer Haldrup is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, Technical University of Denmark, and serves as a LINXS Fellow within the Light Harvesting Processes working group. His affiliation with LINXS connects him to a broader interdisciplinary network focused on neutron and X-ray science applications.
His research centers on structural and electronic dynamics in photoexcited molecular systems, with particular emphasis on how solvation environments influence chemical reaction pathways. He employs advanced ultrafast X-ray techniques including synchrotron radiation and X-ray Free Electron Lasers (XFELs) to probe these phenomena at fundamental timescales.
Haldrup's work bridges experimental physics and chemistry, with core competencies in time-resolved spectroscopy, molecular photo-dynamics, and environmental effects on reaction mechanisms. His methodological approach combines cutting-edge X-ray instrumentation with theoretical modeling of dynamic processes.
Through LINXS, he contributes to collaborative initiatives in advanced materials research, specifically within the New Materials theme, facilitating cross-institutional partnerships in neutron and X-ray science methodologies.
