Pablo Cortes

Professor Pablo Cortes holds the Chair in Civil Justice at the Leicester Law School, University of Leicester. His research focuses on EU consumer policy, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), online dispute resolution (ODR), and civil justice systems. He has extensively analyzed the transposition of EU consumer directives into national laws, particularly in Spain, Italy, the UK, and Ireland.

Key areas of investigation include the effectiveness of out-of-court redress mechanisms, the digital transformation of dispute resolution processes, and the harmonization of legal frameworks across jurisdictions. Professor Cortes has contributed to policy debates on enhancing consumer access to justice through innovative legal tools and technological integration.
