PAULA BAILEY is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for the MSc Children and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) and Well-Being at Edge Hill University, a role she has held since 2020. She specializes in systemic practice, mental health nursing, and systems leadership, with a focus on integrating clinical experience with academic teaching. Her roles include developing interdisciplinary curricula and maintaining honorary clinical practice in NHS mental health services.

Research Interests: Paula’s work centers on systemic psychotherapy, family experiences in psychosis, and early intervention in mental health. Her current doctoral research explores family perspectives within early intervention psychosis services, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to education and health.
External Engagement: She maintains clinical roles as a Systemic Family Psychotherapist in NHS Trusts, working in CAMH, eating disorder services, and early psychosis intervention. Her projects include clinical governance, medicines optimization, and workforce development initiatives within NHS trusts.
Labs/Teams: Active member of the Children's Rights and Wellbeing Research Network, focusing on systemic practice innovations and immersive learning methodologies.
