Paula Fairclough is a Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing at Keele University, based in the David Weatherall Building, commencing her role in December 2022 after 30 years of NHS clinical experience. She is an Independent Nurse Prescriber specializing in Perinatal Mental Health with extensive background in Adult Acute Inpatient Care, Early Intervention in Psychosis, and IAPT Talking Therapies services.

Dr. Fairclough's research centers on mental health service delivery integration within primary care, with emphasis on perinatal mental health, psychosis intervention, and nurse prescribing efficacy. Her scholarly work examines systemic approaches to improving safety and quality in contemporary mental healthcare settings.
