P. David Brackett is the Coordinator of Clinical Services and Residency Program Director at Auburn University's Harrison School of Pharmacy, where he provides direct patient care and oversees clinical and educational services for the Alabama’s State Wellness Center and Auburn University Clinical Health Services (CHS). He has been a pharmacist, clinician, and educator since 1996.
Education
- B.S. in Biology from Jacksonville University (1990)
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from the University of Florida (1995)
- ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at Shands at UF
His research and clinical interests focus on pharmacotherapy for chronic diseases, including hypertension, diabetes, heart failure, anticoagulation, hyperlipidemia, asthma/COPD, and GERD, with an emphasis on patient-centered care and medication management in clinical pharmacy practice.
Dr. Brackett is currently the President of the Alabama Pharmacy Association and actively contributes to community engagement as an Assistant Scout Master and lay minister at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
