Denise Kelley

Denise Kelley serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. She practices clinically in Internal Medicine at Dell Seton Medical Center and directs the Ascension Seton PGY-2 Internal Medicine pharmacy residency program.

Dr. Kelley's educational journey includes:

• Pharm.D. from Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy
• PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at UF Health Jacksonville
• PGY2 Internal Medicine Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina

Her research and clinical expertise centers on Internal Medicine, with a focus on anticoagulation therapy, HIV management, and the treatment of renal and pulmonary disorders. She is dedicated to enhancing experiential education for pharmacy students by connecting academic knowledge to clinical practice.

Notable awards recognizing her contributions include the UF New Inpatient Preceptor of the Year, FSHP New Practitioner of the Year, and Fellowship in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).

As an educator, Dr. Kelley precepts Pharm.D. students and pharmacy residents during internal medicine rotations. She has held affiliate faculty appointments at both the University of Florida and University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy throughout her career.

In her leadership role, she oversees the Ascension Seton PGY-2 Internal Medicine pharmacy residency, shaping the next generation of clinical pharmacy specialists in this specialty area.
