Dr. Osman Coban is a Lecturer in Primary Education at the University of Strathclyde since February 2024. He co-leads the Social Justice, Culture, and Policy theme, focusing on integrating social justice into educational practices. His career spans higher education, primary/secondary teaching, and NGO work internationally. He is Principal Investigator for community projects targeting BAME educational integration.

- Master of Education in Turkish Langauge and Literature Teaching
- PGDE in Primary Education (University of Strathclyde)
- Master of Education in Children's Literature and Literacies (University of Glasgow)
- Doctor of Education (University of Glasgow) focusing on adolescent responses to fiction
Research Interests: His work explores reading practices, inclusive education, and AI in education. He investigates how literature fosters cross-cultural understanding through shared reading, particularly for marginalized groups. Current projects emphasize digital literacy and refugee education.
