Osman Abraz is a Lecturer in the Department of Information Systems and Analytics at the Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University Chicago. With over 30 years of experience as an IT executive, he brings real-world expertise in strategic technology leadership, risk management, and business analytics to his teaching.
His research and professional interests center on IT governance, information security, compliance, ethics, and risk management, as well as value creation through business intelligence and analytics. He emphasizes the strategic alignment of technology with corporate goals and cost-effective digital transformation.
Abraz holds an MS in Electronics and Control and a BS in Electrical Engineering, both from Boğaziçi University. He began lecturing at Loyola in 2014 through the Enterprise Risk Management Certification Program and joined the faculty full-time in January 2018.
He previously served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Diageo Turkey, where he led enterprise-wide implementations of ERP, CRM, sales force automation, logistics systems, and business intelligence platforms. He also oversaw information security and compliance until his retirement from industry in 2017.
