Orla McVicar

Orla McVicar is a Lecturer in Human Resources Management at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), affiliated with the Department of People and Organisations within the Glasgow School for Business and Society. She serves as the Programme Leader for the Part-Time MSc Human Resource Management, overseeing admissions and teaching. Her research focuses on equality/diversity management, gender equality, talent management, and HR development. She is a Chartered Member of the CIPD and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Teaching responsibilities include designing and delivering modules on resourcing, talent management, diversity, and cross-cultural management. She leads the Level 2 core module 'People and Work.' Her professional contributions include consultancy work and participation in a European gender equality project.
