Oriane Monthéard

Oriane Monthéard is a Lecturer at the University of Rouen Normandy, affiliated with the UFR Letters and Human Sciences and the ERIAC research unit (UR 4705). Her primary research focuses on 19th-century British literature, with specializations in Romantic poetry, letter writing, and graphic novels. She holds an Agrégation in English (1998) and a Doctorate in English Studies (2007).

Her academic contributions include co-editing volumes such as Migration and Mutation: New Perspectives on the Sonnet in Translation (2023) and publishing extensively on John Keats, including analyses of his sonnets, odes, and epistolary practices. She has organized major conferences like 'The Sonnet in – and out of Translation' (2017) and 'Romantic Offshoots: Reassessing the Legacy of British Romanticism' (2024).

Her work bridges literary theory and cultural studies, examining intersections between poetry, graphic narratives, and translation. She serves on editorial boards for journals like Lectures du Monde Anglophone and is an active member of scholarly societies including SAES and SERA.
