Caroline Starzecki is a Lecturer in Anglophone Studies at the University of Rouen Normandy, affiliated with the UFR Letters and Human Sciences and ERIAC (Research Unit 4705). Her research focuses on children’s literature, particularly the works of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. She holds an Agrégation in English Literature (2020) and completed a doctoral thesis under Virginie Douglas titled 'The World is Quiet Here: the Figure of the Uprooted Child in A Series of Unfortunate Events' (defense scheduled December 2024).
Teaching roles include ATER positions at the Department of Anglophone Studies (2024-2025) and Rouen Inspé (2023-2024), where she instructs literature, translation, and general English courses. She also teaches at BTS FED and computer science programs at Campus La Châtaigneraie.
