معرفی
Dr. Ivo Rietveld is an Assistant Professor at the University Paris Descartes since 2007, with an HDR (Habilitation to Direct Research) obtained in 2010 on 'Influence of pressure on the stability of molecular solids'. His research focuses on chemical and physical stability of drugs, phase behavior of drug mixtures, X-ray powder diffraction, and thermodynamic phase diagrams. He also investigates electrospray deposition for thin film applications and dendrimer-based materials for biomedical use.
Education: PhD (Leiden University, 2000), followed by postdoctoral research at TU Delft (Netherlands), University of Pennsylvania (USA), and Kyoto University (Japan). His expertise includes thermal analysis (DSC/TG), crystal structure resolution, and solid-state characterization.
Teaching: Leads courses in physical chemistry, thermodynamics, and pharmaceutical analysis for pharmacy students, including development of a second-year physical chemistry curriculum.
Research Trends: His publications span polymorphism studies, pressure-temperature phase diagrams, and electrospray-based material fabrication. Recent work emphasizes resolving stability hierarchies of drug polymorphs under high-pressure conditions and developing bionanocomposites for tissue engineering.
Grants & Collaboration: Active in European-Japanese consortia for thin film technology and French pharmaceutical solid-state research projects. Organized conferences like the 2016 Joint European days on Equilibrium between Phases (JEEP) and delivered keynote lectures on polymorphism analysis under pressure.
