Dr. Asma Buanz is Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Greenwich's School of Science. With a PhD in Pharmaceutics from UCL, her research focuses on pharmaceutical engineering, 3D printing applications, and advanced drug delivery systems.
Her publications reveal strong focus areas:
- 3D printing of medical devices (contact lenses, IUDs) for personalized drug delivery
- Nanotechnology approaches including mesoporous silica carriers and dendrimers
- Polymorphism characterization and stability testing
Prior to joining Greenwich in 2022, she held academic positions at UCL and worked as a community pharmacist. Her technical expertise spans electrospraying, photopolymerization, and analytical methods like XRD-DSC.
