Orhan Agirdag is a Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at KU Leuven. He is a member of LIVO – KU Leuven Institute for Educational Research and holds roles in multiple academic councils and committees. His research focuses on school segregation, multilingual education, European identity, religiosity, and teacher expectations. He leads several projects addressing educational equity, including the ERC-funded ChatEQUITY project. Recent projects include investigating the role of schools in reducing ethnic prejudice and leveraging AI for language diversity in education. Agirdag has been awarded the ERC Consolidator Grant and serves as a Guest Professor at Academica UoAS. His work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to educational challenges and social inclusion.
