Orestis Vryonis

Orestis Vryonis is a New Frontiers Fellow at the University of Southampton, affiliated with the Electrical Power Engineering research group and Tony Davies High Voltage Laboratory. He holds a PhD awarded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship, an MSc in Polymer Science and Technology, and a BSc in Material Science.

His recent publications focus on dielectric properties of polymer nanocomposites, thermal aging effects, epoxy resin systems, and energy storage applications. Current projects include the Horizon Europe - CABLEGNOSIS initiative for power cable diagnostics.

He supervises PhD candidates in Electronics and Electrical Engineering and serves as a researcher in advanced material development for high voltage systems.
