Oona Frawley is an Associate Professor and First Year Co-ordinator in the Department of English at Maynooth University, part of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. She holds a PhD from the CUNY Graduate Center (New York) and has held post-doctoral fellowships at Queen's University Belfast and Trinity College Dublin. Her research focuses on Irish Studies, Memory Studies, ecocriticism, and global literature, particularly from Australia and New Zealand. She is renowned for her work on cultural memory, including the four-volume Memory Ireland series, and her current project examines postcolonial ecocriticism in English-speaking countries. Frawley also pursues creative writing, with works like Flight (2014) and an upcoming non-fiction book This Interim Time (2025).
