Onno Schilstra is an artist, writer, musician, and academic affiliated with the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK). Since 2000, he has been a lecturer in art theory and served as coordinator of the Fine Art department from 2003 to 2017. His work bridges art theory and practice, emphasizing critical engagement with themes like iconoclasm and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Research & Practice: Exploring iconoclasm through multimedia and stereoscopic drawings, co-creating Panopticum Berlin (2005–present), a traveling museum critiquing human nature. Active in the KABK Theory Platform, publishing on art theory pedagogy to integrate theory and practice.
Artistic Work: Collaborations with Allart Lakke (1992–1998) and Wim Hardeman, exhibitions across Europe, and music projects like Art For Art's Sake (CD 'Tributaries', 2019).
