Georgie Brinkman serves as Coordinator of the Master Artistic Research (MAR) program at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK), while actively contributing to the Lectorate Design's Deep Futures Research Group (2023-2024) and serving on PARC's (Platform for Artistic Research through Collaboration) Sounding Board alongside Leiden University.
Her academic background includes:

Brinkman's research interrogates non-human agency within ecological collapse, deliberately blurring science-fiction and science-fact through moving image installations, audio works, and performance. Her practice centers animals, plants, and minerals as protagonists—exemplified by works featuring "a melancholic seagull, a leech who is a poet, or an ocean with a broken heart"—to challenge anthropocentric narratives amid mass extinction.
