Ona Bø Wie is a Professor and Head of Department at the Department of Special Needs Education (ISP), University of Oslo. Her research focuses on hearing, speech-language, and literacy development in children with cochlear implants, particularly examining language development in prelingually deaf children with bilateral implants. She leads a longitudinal study tracking language outcomes from implantation through adolescence.
