Omolade Allen

Omolade Allen is a Lecturer in Global Health Research at the University of Manchester, focusing on reducing health inequalities among ethnically minoritised women. Her work emphasizes leveraging voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) organizations to improve access to mental health and social care, particularly for domestic abuse survivors. She leads a research program examining the role of faith-based organizations in mental health service access for ethnic minority women in high-income countries.

Education: PhD (2016, University of Manchester) in Public Health; MSc (2010, University of Manchester) in Social Research Methods and Statistics; BSc (2006, Babcock University) in Public Health (First Class Honours). Professional qualifications include FHEA, ILM Level 5 Coaching, and NLP Diplomas.

Research Interests: Global health equity, domestic violence prevention, faith-based public health initiatives, breast cancer research among ethnic minorities, and health workforce development in LMICs. Methodologies include mixed-methods research, community-based participatory action research, and thematic analysis.
