Olufunmilola Abraham

Olufunmilola Abraham is a Professor in Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, with additional affiliations as a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at the Markey Cancer Center and the Cancer Research Priority Initiative UNITE area. Her research focuses on adolescent health, digital health interventions, and opioid/vaping prevention through pharmacist-led educational tools and gaming strategies.

In 2024, she led a Randomized Control Trial funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality to evaluate the MedSMARxT Families gaming intervention's effectiveness in reducing opioid misuse in emergency departments. Her work also extends to tobacco-free policy development and animal husbandry digital tools for dairy farming stakeholders.

Abraham’s research outputs emphasize mixed methods studies, thematic analysis, and human factors in pharmacy. She has published extensively on adolescent medication safety and pharmacist roles in chronic disease management, with over 50 research outputs and a high h-index reflecting her academic impact.
