Kirk Evoy

Kirk Evoy is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Pharmacotherapy Division at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy and an Adjoint Associate Professor at the University of Texas Health San Antonio School of Medicine. He practices as an ambulatory care pharmacist at University Health in San Antonio. His research focuses on substance use disorders, smoking cessation, diabetes management, and harm reduction strategies, with an emphasis on opioid overdose prevention and gabapentinoid misuse. He holds multiple certifications including Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP), Board Certified Advanced Diabetes Manager (BC-ADM), and Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist (CTTS).

Dr. Evoy’s education includes a Doctor of Pharmacy from Purdue University, followed by PGY1 and PGY2 residencies in pharmacy practice and ambulatory care. He has earned teaching certificates and a Global Health training credential. His research spans emerging trends in prescription drug misuse, naloxone and buprenorphine accessibility, and vaping/kratom-related health impacts.
