Meghan Breckling

Meghan Breckling, Pharm.D., BCACP is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy. Her roles include teaching in the Pharmacy Practice Assessment and Skills Course, clinical practice via telehealth pharmacy services for rural clinics, and leading academic detailing initiatives on opioid safety and harm reduction. She holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from UAMS and completed PGY1/PGY2 residencies at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System.

Her research focuses on opioid stewardship, evidence-based pain management, and implementation science around academic detailing interventions. She collaborates in multidisciplinary teams addressing substance use disorder treatment and cardiovascular risk reduction.

Engaged in telehealth pharmacy services and protocol-driven care, she contributes to the UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute’s harm reduction initiatives while advancing clinical practice through peer-reviewed publications on opioid prescribing practices and guideline implementation.
