Oluf Dimitri Røe

Oluf Dimitri Røe MD PhD is a Specialist in Medical and Radiation Oncology and Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), with concurrent appointments at Aalborg University Hospital (Clinical Associate Professor, 20%) and Levanger Hospital. His translational cancer research focuses on biomarker discovery for mesothelioma, lung cancer, and gastric cancer, particularly through pre-diagnostic serum analysis in the HUNT Biobank and collaborations with University of Western Australia, University of Crete, and Nanjing Medical University.

Key research areas include:

• Genome-wide expression studies in asbestos-related cancers
• MicroRNA-based lung cancer screening models (HUNT Lung Cancer Model, EARLYSCREEN)
