Veronesi Giulia

Veronesi Giulia is a Professor of Thoracic Surgery at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan and Director of the Robotic Thoracic Surgery Program at San Raffaele Hospital. She has held previous roles such as Head of Robotic Thoracic Surgery at Humanitas Clinical Institute and Director of Lung Cancer Screening at the European Institute of Oncology. Her expertise spans robotic surgery, lung cancer management, and occupational health, particularly in asbestos-exposed workers.

Education:

Research Interests: Focuses on minimally invasive robotic techniques for thoracic cancers, lung cancer screening protocols, and the integration of AI and biomarkers in early diagnosis. She leads international studies on robotic lobectomy and lung cancer detection.

Grants & Research: Principal Investigator in multiple grants totaling over €3 million, including projects on AI-driven lung nodule analysis, asbestos-exposure surveillance, and lung cancer biomarkers. Active in multidisciplinary thoracic oncology groups.
