Olu Omolayole

Dr. Olu Omolayole is a Professor of Computer Information Systems in the College of Business at Grambling State University, where he has taught since 1994 and earned tenure in 1998. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. (1978) and M.S. (1974) in Computer Science from UCLA, an M.B.A. (1987) in Management Information Systems from California State University–Sacramento, and a B.S. (1971) in Mathematics from the University of Lagos.

• Research Focus: Technology adoption behavior, IT outsourcing success, e-commerce, IS pedagogy, and curriculum design for programming-based problem solving.
• Leadership: Acting department head, conference organizer, and editor-in-chief of peer-reviewed journals.
• Professional Engagement: Service on AACSB accreditation, curriculum, and faculty-mentoring committees.

His intellectual contributions examine IT outsourcing dynamics (vendor capability, trust, culture), gender differences in technology adoption, and classroom quality assurance models. He authored a textbook in 2024 on C++ programming for quantitative problem solving.
