These initiatives demonstrate consistent interdisciplinary collaboration across European and Latin American academic networks.
His scientific recognition includes:
- Membership in the prestigious Institut Universitaire de France (2007-2012)
Compagnon's research leadership manifests through substantial grant acquisitions from ANR, FAPESP, CAPES, and COFECUB, enabling multinational team coordination. His administrative tenure as IHEAL and CREDA director fostered institutional development in Latin American studies, while his editorial roles with Cahiers des Amériques latines and IHEAL Press advance scholarly dissemination. Current project frameworks indicate continued focus on transnational knowledge circulation and decolonial research methodologies.
He maintains active laboratory engagement through CREDA UMR 7227 and co-leads international research collectives including the Transatlantic Cultures consortium and Atacama SHS project team, facilitating cross-continental collaboration between historians, anthropologists, and social scientists specializing in Latin America.
