Oliver Williams is an Associate Professor of Management & Organization at the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business and serves as Director of the Notre Dame Center for Ethics and Religious Values in Business. He holds a doctorate from Vanderbilt University and undergraduate/graduate degrees from Notre Dame. Previously, he served as Associate Provost of the University of Notre Dame for seven years and chaired the Social Issues Division of the Academy of Management. Williams is an ordained Catholic priest in the Congregation of Holy Cross and a former U.S. Navy officer. He is a Liu Institute fellow and a board member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Foundation since 2006.
His research focuses on business ethics, Catholic Social Teaching, and organizational ethics, with over 20 authored/edited books and numerous journal articles. He has received the 2019 Sumner Marcus Award for contributions to management.
