Oliver Thomson

Dr. Oliver Thomson is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Programme Leader at Health Sciences University's UCO School of Osteopathy. Holding a PhD, MSc, and dual BSc degrees in Osteopathic Medicine and a DO qualification, his research utilizes qualitative methodologies to examine clinical reasoning, beliefs, and behaviors of health professionals and osteopaths. He maintains an active osteopathy practice in London and serves as Associate Editor for the International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine.

Thomson hosts 'The Words Matter Podcast,' featuring critical discussions on person-centered care, clinical communication, evidence-based practice, and the biopsychosocial model with leading researchers and clinicians. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications in these domains.
