Prof. Dr. Oliver Quiring is a full professor at the University of Mainz, heading the Teaching and Research Department of Communication Studies within the Institute of Journalism. He holds a doctorate (2003) and habilitation (2009) in communication studies from FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg and LMU Munich. His research focuses on social, economic, and political communication, with a strong emphasis on qualitative-quantitative methodology and long-term media trust studies. He has led major projects like the Mainzer Langzeitstudie Medienvertrauen and contributed to EU crisis communication research.
